Eilis Mullan Bursary
The Eilis Mullan Bursary were established in 2004 to support and encourage the professional development of emerging and existing directors/leaders of youth theatre in Ireland. The awards honour the memory of Eilis Mullan, former National Director of NAYD.
2008 Bursary
In 2008 Maria Schweppe of Dublin Youth Theatre received a bursary to complete a diploma in Management Practice for the Arts.

Previous recipients have used their awards to support their professional development by studying at third level, participating in international training courses, developing a project with a youth theatre or participating in a mentorship programme.

To study for a diploma in Drama and Theatre Studies in Maynooth
Aine Stapleton - Portlaoise/Rathdowney Youth Theatres
To participate in a professional development training placement with a professional theatre company
Diane O'Connor - Tallaght Youth Theatre
To study for a higher diploma in Drama Studies in University College Dublin.
Ella Daly - Limerick Youth Theatre
To study for a post-graduate diploma (part-time) in Cultural Management
Regina Crowley - CSM Youth Theatre
Attended training workshops in the Suzuki actor training method in London
Peter Kelly - Rathdowney/Portlaoise Youth Theatres
Supported his studies on the post-graduate diploma in Drama and Theatre Studies at UCD.
Valerie Coyne - Tallaght Youth Theatre
Supported the development of a project with Tallaght Youth Theatre that resulted in a production entitled Sugar Suit performed in the Civic Theatre, Tallaght in May 2007.
Lucy Bell - Celbridge Youth Drama
Participated in an intensive Theatre of the Oppressed summer school in Washington State, USA.
