NAYD’s new welfare and child protection guidelines will be available in the next few weeks. They have been created in line with the revised Children First:National Guidelines for the Protection and Welfare of Children. These national guidelines are not yet operational but are available to view on the Office of the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs website: http://www.omc.gov.ie

By making the guidelines available now, NAYD are giving youth theatres the opportunity to ensure they are compliant with the national guidelines when they become operational.

We have created a template that that can be used by youth theatres as a framework for creating their own policy.
